I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself. My name is Patsy Melonakis, I am your newly elected Adams County Assessor. I am honored and privileged to have been granted the opportunity to serve the citizens of Adams County.
During the next four years my staff and I will work diligently to meet the legal duties of the Assessor’s office. Our plan for the future is to provide unbiased and fair assessments in all real and personal property in Adams County. I have empowered my team to meet these goals.
The Office of Assessor has a staff that is knowledgeable, hard-working and dedicated to serving the people of Adams County with respect and dignity. Together, we will insure that the values placed upon your properties will be fair, accurate and in compliance with the laws of this state.
To better serve you and offer greater transparency in the valuation process, the Office of the Assessor has included Market Comparable real estate values used in reaching the value of residential property. We use Mass Appraisal Techniques
from the time period between January 1, 2013 and June 30, 2014 in the valuation process, as stipulated by the law. Properties without comparables have been valued using a neighborhood adjustment commensurate with other properties from like neighborhoods. Including this information on your Notice of Valuation is an attempt to help show how the value of your property was calculated.
Thank you for your support. I look forward to serving you in the future.
