The Adams County Assessor is a constitutional officer elected for a four-year term. The primary duty of the Assessor is to discover, list and value all real and taxable personal property located in Adams County, pursuant to Article X, Section 3, of the Colorado Constitution and general laws enacted thereunder, and to, thereafter, determine the valuation for assessment purposes of all such property. Article X, Section 3, establishes four classes of property for assessment purposes and, in general terms, prescribes the manner in which their actual, as well as valuation for assessment, is to be determined.
