The purpose of the Sheriff’s Office Employee’s Orphan’s Fund is to provide assistance for dependents of those members who died while actively employed by the Sheriff’s Office or were in a retired status from the Office.The number of directors constituting the Board of Directors of the Sheriff’s Office Employee's Orphan’s Fund is nine; four who are from the public sector and five representatives from the Adams County Sheriff’s Office.A regular meeting of the Board is held quarterly to conduct its affairs in addition to the election meeting. No compensation is paid to members of the Board.The officers of the Sheriff’s Office Employee’s Orphan’s Fund, consist of a Chairman, Vice Chairman, Secretary and Treasurer. These officers are executive officers and each are elected by the Board. The executive officers are elected annually by the Board at the first quarterly meeting of the Board. FUNDRAISING:The primary source of revenue of this corporation are donations.The Board is also authorized to engage in fundraising activities compatible with the objectives of the corporation and consistent with the professional reputation of the Adams County Sheriff’s Office and law enforcement agencies in general.For additional information:

Tuition and books at an accredited college or university, are not to exceed the cost of equivalent costs at the University of Colorado, Boulder, CO.
Tuition and books at a trade school approved by the members of the Board are not to exceed the cost of equivalent costs at the University of Colorado, Boulder, Colorado, for a four-year under graduate education.
Funds for room, meals and miscellaneous expenses will be considered by the Board, are not to exceed the cost of equivalent costs at the University of Colorado, Boulder, Colorado.
Assistance is offered qualified students to help obtain a Bachelor’s degree, completion of a trade school, or other educational assistance.
Assistance for advanced degrees will be considered by the Board on a case-by-case basis.
Tuition and books at a private, primary, and/or secondary school will be considered by the Board on a case-by-case basis.
